So you made an excellent choice ;-) And what to do with such a beautifully starting day, if you haven't made any specific plans before? Don't worry! We always have suggestions for you that will make your vacation (or holiday) an unforgettable experience full of not only culinary, but also cultural and historical experiences. Here are 5 "must see" & "must visit" attractions during your stay at the Krasicki Hotel**** located in the heart of Warmia THE CASTLE OF THE WARMIAN BISHOPS Be in Lidzbark Warmiński and not visiting the Bishops' Castle is like being in Rome and you know what... The Pearl of Warmia, the Wawel of the North, the Pearl of Gothic Architecture - these are just some of the many and beautiful descriptions that Lidzbark Castle enjoys. When Lidzbark Warmiński was still Heilsberg, the bishop's castle was the seat of one of the most powerful politicians in the Republic of Poland, and the city was the capital of the Duchy of Warmia. The Castle towering over the city is the most magnificent testimony to the history of Warmia. For almost 450 years, it was the seat of the Prince Bishops of Warmia. Currently, it houses the Warmian Museum / Branch of the Museum of Warmia and Mazury. Visitors to the castle are delighted not only by the excellent state of preservation of this monument, but also by the rich exhibition of artifacts - from the Middle Ages to the end of the 19th century in permanent and temporary exhibitions. Every day we look at this majestic silhouette, and our delight becomes greater. You too can fall in love with this unique facility, which we affectionately call a castle. KAYAKING TRIP ON THE ŁYNA RIVER Łyna, the queen of the Warmian-Masurian rivers. Beautiful, majestic, gentle. Its name comes from the Prussian language from the word Alna - doe. It wanders through fields, meadows and forests, flows through lakes, and on its way it is accompanied by willows, whose branches are gently touched by pleasant cool water. Beaver families visit its banks, and in its depths pike, ide, chub and catfish reign. Guests of the Krasicki Hotel**** have the opportunity to take advantage of a kayaking trip on three basic routes, which can be covered in time from 1.5 to 3 to 8 hours! A WALK IN THE SYMSARNA RIVER VALLEY WITH A VISIT TO THE SALINE GRADUATION TOWER On the opposite side of the Krasicki Hotel**** there is one of the many entrances to the beautiful Symsarna River Valley Spa Park. Symsarna, a right-bank tributary of the Łyna, flows from Lake Luterskie and, flowing through numerous towns and beautiful Warmian lakes, reaches Lidzbark Warmiński and flows into the Łyna. When entering the Symsarna Valley, we can move to another world! The post-glacial landscape, wilderness and unique climate mean that a person immediately gets a dose of positive energy! The several dozen-meter elevation is rich in unique landscapes, as well as countless species of plants, largely protected. The meandering Symsarna, cutting through and wrapping around moraine hills, looks like a blue serpentine. That is why the residents of Lidzbark Warmiński call this place "Serpentines". The increase in tourist traffic in Heilsberg occurred in the second half of the 19th century, and its great development occurred in the interwar period. Guesthouses and guest houses started to appear like mushrooms after the rain. Beautifully situated Prussian towns were gaining the status of a health resort. This was also the case in Heilsberg, which became a Luftkurort – a climatic health resort. Now Lidzbark Warmiński is returning to the traditions of health resorts. The first stage was the construction of a brine graduation tower. Its shape resembles a snail, which is a symbol of CittaSlow cities. Lidzbark Warmiński has been a member of this network of “cities of good life” since 2006. The graduation tower is built of pine wood and filled with blackthorn. The brine streams flowing down the blackthorn branches “crash”, creating a healing aerosol. The recommended inhalation time is about 30 minutes. At the bottom there is a brine pool, and at the top there is a viewing terrace. The graduation tower is supplied with water from the nearby Termy Warmińskie. STOCZEK KLASZTORYNY AND FROMBORK Lidzbark Warmiński is an excellent base for exploring the region. We have our favorite spots, closely related to the history of Warmia and Lidzbark Warmiński itself. Stoczek Klasztorny (Warmiński). The Sanctuary of the Mother of Peace. Located just 11 km from Lidzbark Warmiński, Stoczek Klasztorny is a beautiful place with a rich history and stunning 17th and 18th century architecture. In 1641, on the initiative of the Bishop of Warmia, Mikołaj Szyszkowski, the construction of the temple was completed. It was expanded many times, to give it its final shape in the years 1716-1717. In the Sanctuary of the Mother of Peace, the communist authorities imprisoned, in
